Jay Parade

Thursday Jul 16, 2020

Thursday Jul 16, 2020

We are back and so is Jay Parade! Due to the recent pandemic we have taken some time off, but we are back to our bi-weekly schedule!  This week, Jay Parade graced us with their presence to talk about their new album "sixty-one" and the effects that COVID has had on their summer plans.
"Jay Parade are a three piece punk band from Charleston, WV. The band began playing together as teenagers when they were members of their high school’s show choir back up band. After high school, the three friends went their separate ways, but reconnected in late 2016. The group started writing, rehearsing, and made their public debut in October 2017. Jay Parade released their first EP, Crying Over Spilt Coffee, in March 2018.  Sonically, Jay Parade are reminiscent of other punk p0wer trios. Green Day, Alkaline Trio, and Jawbreaker are cited as some of the band’s biggest influences. The band also incorporates some ska and progressive elements to round out their sound."

Hey everyone. Here at Wasted we have been dedicated to providing free promotion for West Virginia based businesses, bands & artists for almost two years now and we aren't about to stop now. In light of Covid-19 and knowing that the people we aim to support have been affected, we are going to try something new to help you out.
If you have a business, band, or are an artist and you are still able to provide a take-out menu, online ordering, live streaming events for donations, anything that is available to the public to help your dream stay afloat, we are going to be doing a mash-up podcast episode with anyone who wants to be involved.
We want the people to hear from you! So here is our vision.
If you call 304-641-4020 (my personal cell, so you can call anytime day or night) and leave a voicemail with your business/band name, any information you want to give (website, Facebook, pay-pal, phone number) and let the people know how they can help support you during this crisis. We will publish the episode on Monday March 30th with all of the businesses who call in. The idea is for you to call and leave a voicemail with all of your information, kind of like an ad spot for you and your business. I will be pulling the voicemails into our recording software and the voicemails will be the episode. We want people to hear directly from you!
We want to help in any way we can. If you have any questions, feel free to message us!
Thank you West Virginia.Stay strong.

"Established in Virginia circa 2008, as The Crimson Owl, H+H re-branded in 2012 a few years after arriving in Morgantown. At that time, H&H was simply a one-woman show making, creating and treasure hunting; selling wares at Mountain People's Co-op and Eloquence Antiques & Artisans.Luckily for us all, H&H owner Stephanie, decided it was time to take the leap and pursue her dream of having a brick & mortar boutique featuring local artisans, handmade goods, bath and body products, and refurbished furniture, alongside vintage and antiques. So after a lot of hard work (and sleepless nights), several amazing women flipped the space at 245 Walnut Street and H&H opened it's doors in August 2018."
